Overview

» Well-known from the last century, Eforie Nord is a city located along the Black Sea shore, 14 kilometers away from Constanta, between the Black Sea shore and the Lake Tekirghiol, with its great parks, various trees, quiet streets and hotels.

» The beach of the Romanian seashore is sandy, continues under the water, so that you can walk easy on the edge of the sea. The Lake Tekirghiol’s water holds an important place amongst the natural cure factors used in balneal treatments.

» Climate in this area is transitional, between steppe and marine climate. This influence reduces temperature contrasts of the atmosphere and confers a highly pleasant climate to the area, even during the hottest summers. Yearly average temperature is 11,1° Celsius (69,98° Fahrenheit). Atmospheric precipitations remain under 398 liters/m2 a year.

» As nebulosity is reduced, the period of sunshine (300 hours a month in the summer) amounts 75 to 80% of the maximum duration, with a yearly average of 2189 hours, which is much higher than the average period of sunshine in European cities in the same latitude. There are no dangerous animals or plants in the water. The average temperature of the water is +20° Celsius ( 68° Fahrenheit) in the summer and –0,9° Celsius (30,38° Fahrenheit) in the winter.
